Why

Why we built Pawmory

Written 17 September 2026

Most people who live with an animal keep one still frame that already holds a stretch of ordinary time. A nap. A wait by the door. A look back. The afternoon is over. The photo remains.

Pawmory comes from paw and memory. In Chinese it is 爪忆. The work is narrow on purpose: choose a photo you keep, and let that moment move once more.

It is for a moment that has already passed

A lot of products in this space turn into a daily log, or into a noisy clip factory. That is not us. Pawmory is for a moment that has already passed, not for whatever happened today.

A photo of someone still on your sofa counts. An older photo you have kept also counts. We do not sell that distinction. We only say they are still in the picture.

Not a feed, and not a subscription

A memory should not become a feed you are asked to open every day, and it should not become a monthly membership. You buy credits when you need them. They stay in your account. The clip stays yours.

If someone asks what Pawmory is, we want a short answer: it turns a pet photo into a few seconds of motion. Not a social network. Not a way to bring anyone back. Not another generator with a louder name.
